This is a 5th grade classroom and the desks are set up in U shaped form with 5 desks in the middle of the room. All of the desks are facing forward towards the teacher's desk and the chalkboard. This is a great way to set up a room because then when they have disscussions every student can see each other.

Wow! I've never even thought about a classroom set up like this. This is interesting, because it does allow group discussion, but at the same time, all the students are facing the front of the room. This format of the desk setting also looks like it would be very convient for the teacher as well. She could easily walk around and get to each student without any trouble.
Yea, I thought it was a good idea to set up a classroom like this because the students on the computers arn't distracted by other students at their desks.
